- I am a dj based in Oslo, Norway, started to play records late 2001, about 8 months later I got my first gig at one of the best progressive house nights in Oslo called Odyssey. My dj name is balErik which comes from balearic, balearic islands, nobody in Norway gets the name though, people always thinks it has something to do with big balls, I usually play along ;). In 2003 i started a monthly clubnight in Oslo called Dirty Grooves which got nominated best clubnight of the year in a Norwegian online clubbing magazine same year. Now i do another night called Timeslip which I have been doing once a month for almost 3 years now and it is still going strong. Some of my favourite djs have played there, Desyn Masiello, Luke Fair, Rowan Blades, Omid16B, Nick DK, Mike James, Tom Morgan, Dana Bergquist, Demi, Rollo, Ricky Ryan++ If you know some of these familiar names, I am sure you figure out what kind of music I am into, amazing housemusic and techno. I try to blend anything from deep house to techno when i do a gig, depends on the event and venue ofcourse. Love it all. The music has brought me to some amazing places and gigs already, Turnmills in London, San Fransisco & Miami USA, Schezchin & Warszaw in Poland, Sofia in Bulgaria, Riga & Daugapils in Latvia, Stockholm & Gothenburg in Sweden, Pula in Croatia, Murmansk in Russia. I am constantly looking for hot tunes, doing re-edits preparing for the next gig to do my very best everytime. Check the livesets on the left of this myspace page if you want.

My friend and one of my favorite djs Desyn Masiello asked me a few months ago if I were interested to do some a & r work for his amazing label alternativerouterecordings, which I ofcourse said yes to do. Tom Morgan and me are checking all the demos the label are getting sent, so feel free to send us your new bombs ;) We are also on the process of setting up a new label atm, Discoteca Music, which is a digital label founded by Somnus Corp., Tom Morgan, Dana Bergquist and myself.
